Description |
This arrangement of the full "Mad Scene" from Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor is for Soprano cornet solo with brass band accompaniment. It is quite long, at 9 1/2 minutes) but can be split into sections and the waltzes can be performed on their own. This arrangement features the soprano cornet as Lucia, and requires a soprano player willing to do a bit of play-acting (she is mad, after all) especially in the recitative section. This is a great chance for your soprano player to show off. There is no such thing as an introvert sop player!
This is, I hope, a useful addition to the soprano cornet repertoire. |
