As part of my series of beginner piano music, this is more of a stately processional type of march than a military one. The music is largely unison rhythm, except for the melody and countermelody. There's an opening (and closing) fanfare followed by the main themes. These eventually divide into four distinct lines which, while isorhythmic, have a degree of independence, which is why I have put this into the advanced intermediate group. |
