Well, it may only be August, but I have spent this month arranging a number of Christmas carols for brass quintet, Wind quintet and String quintet or string orchestra.
In reverse order the list so far is:
Christmas Interlude (Past 3 o'clock, The Gloucestershire Carol and Greensleeves)
It Came Upon the Midnight Clear
The Holly and the Ivy
Away in a Manger
God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen
I Saw Three Ships
Ding Dong Merrily on High
This adds to my existing list of Christmas music, which includes Once in Royal David's City (Brass Band), Es Ist Ein Ros' Entsprungen (Only a Rose e'er Blooming) for Brass band, SATB choir and soprano soloist, Snowflakes (High voice and piano), In Dulci Jubilo (Brass band) and In Dulci Jubilo (Brass quintet), Off-Beat Christmas (Brass choir) and Look at the Baby (SSA/SAT with flute, horn and piano).
Why not give these pieces a look for your next Christmas Concert
